Top Text Scams of 2022
The FTC has put out a list of the most frequently used TEXT ALERT scams from 2022. Fraudsters have found people are more likely to respond to a text than to a phone call or email. The list includes:
- Fraud prevention alerts from your financial institution
- Texts about FREE GIFTS
- Package Delivery problems
- Job Offers
- Amazon Security Alerts
Please be careful then you receive these types of texts and NEVER click on the link that has been provided. If you believe the text is legitimate use other means to contact the sender such as phone, email or through the company website.
